We are very pleased to announce that Fandango titles GOMORRA and MID-AUGUST LUNCH have both been recognised at the 2009 David di Donatello Awards, Italy's highest film honours.

GOMORRA was the big winner of the night, taking awards for Best Film, Best Director (Matteo Garrone), Best Screenplay (Maurizio Braucci, Ugo Chiti, Gianni Di Gregorio, Matteo Garrone, Massimo Gaudioso, Roberto Saviano), Best Producer (Domenico Procacci), Best Editing (Marco Spoletini) and Best Sound (Maricetta Lombardo).

Another Fandango title, MID-AUGUST LUNCH won the prize for Debuting Director, which was awarded to Gianni Di Gregorio, who also stars in the film.

Both these titles are being sold internationally by Fandango Portobello, the sales company founded in 2007 by Eric Abraham of Portobello Pictures and Domenico Procacci of Fandango.

We are also pleased to announce that Variety are running a number of features on Fandango, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the company's formation.

These features include an interview with Eric Abraham, in which he discusses his long working relationship with Domenico Procacci.
