Portobello Pictures is pleased to announce that a retrospective of Jan Svěrák's films is taking place as part of the 9th Go East Film Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The festival, which celebrates Central and Eastern European film, will be held between the 22nd and the 28th April 2009. Jan Svěrák is the filmmaker selected to feature in the portrait strand of the 2009 festival.
Portobello titles included in the festival include KOLYA, DARK BLUE WORLD and Jan Svěrák's most recent title EMPTIES.
Other Jan Svěrák films showing as part of the season include THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ACCUMULATOR 1 and THE RIDE - more information on these titles can be found on Jan's Svěrák's official website. Jan and his father Zdeněk will also be attending the festival and discussing their long and productive working relationship.
