Portobello has produced numerous television series and films including detective drama, classical music documentaries and a range of programmes for children.
Past titles include John le Carré's A MURDER OF QUALITY (ITV; 1991) starring Denholm Elliott and Glenda Jackson; the BBC's top-rated primetime series DALZIEL & PASCOE (1996 - 2007) starring Warren Clarke and based on Reginald Hill's bestselling crime novels; and the BBC's FORTUNES OF WAR (1987) starring Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson and executive produced by Eric Abraham.
Eric Abraham's commitment to children's original drama on television led to a number of original series including Michael Morpurgo's MY FRIEND WALTER (ITV; 1992) with Prunella Scales and Ronald Pickup, as well as Rowena Farre's SEAL MORNING (ITV; 1986) with Jane Lapotaire and Holly Aird. Eric Abraham also produced Disney's RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND (ITV; 1986) and TRUE TILDA (BBC; 1997).
Currently Portobello Pictures is developing and producing a slate of film and television projects, working with high profile international talent, as well as developing and establishing new talent.
