Theatre (Portobello Productions)

2005 marked Eric Abraham's West End debut as a stage producer on Hugh Whitemore's adaptation of Pirandello's AS YOU DESIRE ME starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Bob Hoskins, directed by Jonathan Kent.

On the 1st March 2006, Portobello Productions opened its West End debut, EMBERS, a new play by Christopher Hampton based on the bestselling novel by Sándor Márai, and commissioned by Eric Abraham. EMBERS marked Jeremy Irons' return to the stage after almost twenty years and was directed by Michael Blakemore.

In 2008 Eric Abraham co-produced the West End transfer of Polly Stenham’s THAT FACE.

Our South African company Isango Portobello's productions includeTHE MAGIC FLUTE - IMPEMPE YOMLINGO and A CHRISTMAS CAROL - IKRISMAS KHEROL and THE MYSTERIES - YIIMIMANGALISO. They are based at the recently opened Fugard Theatre in Cape Town, South Africa.

Portobello Productions is developing and producing a slate of theatre projects, working with high profile international talent, as well as developing and establishing new talent.
